Raz B (B2K) Releasing Book to expose the GAYS within the Hip Hop Industry

So apprently platinum selling group B2K former member Raz B is putting out a book to expose SOME of the GAYS within the Hip Hop Industry. The book is entitiled "This Boy's Life", the book will make mentions to Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Ray J and a few more.

On Chris Brown:

“They say you never know who knows who. Chris Brown didn’t think about that when he attacked me online. I have a friend that’s very close to Chris’ camp who told me that Chris was involved with an up and coming songwriter Andre Merritt. So when Chris started going in calling people ‘gay’ and ‘fags’ I just dropped Andre Merritt’s name. I knew it was true when he decided to shut up.”



On Bow Wow:

“Bow Wow was younger than all of us, but the record company figured his affiliation with us (B2k) would be great. I didn’t see it for myself but I was told by Fizz that Bow Wow and he got involved with each other. I didn’t put a lot of stock in it then. It would be a few years until I realize that Fizz wasn’t lying. In 2005 Bow Wow and Omari became “inseparable”. It wasn’t until rumors forced Bow Wow to end the relationships. The gay talk was hurting Bow Wow’s business.”


On Maybach O and B2K:

“There were no girls; there were no breaks, and absolutely NO meat. Our diet was so strict that I remember passing out during rehearsals because of our heavily restricted diet.”“…Me and Boog (Jarell Houston, known as J. Boog) resisted the most. Fizz and Omari (Omarion) however seemed a lot easier to take advantage of. I suspect it was because Fizz was so much younger and Omari was just gay.”


On Ray J:

 “Ray J was cool at first. I was under the impression that he wanted to help me. But just like with Whitney (Houston) he was just looking for someone to use. Ray J said that he was mad about how Chris did us and other artist, but Ray J just wanted airtime.” He went on to say, “Ray J made a diss song about Chris being gay, but that’s the kettle calling the pot black.”

It dont take a genius to work out that Raz B is an troubled individual, but this book seems like it will be quite interesting.

UK Dancehall Rises

The UK Dancehall scene seems to be flourishing and is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with gaining the respect of and making its Jamaican counterparts take notice. From artistes to producers, radio djs to entertainment websites, the past year has seen tremendous growth and rise in the popularity of UK Dancehall.
Unlike in Jamaica, Dancehall is not one the most popular genres of music in the UK and takes a backseat to Grime, Dubstep, Hiphop and even Reggae. This is even more evident in the fact that there only two mainstream radio stations, BBC 1xtra and Choice FM with dedicated time slots playing Dancehall. However, the growing popularity of pirate and internet radio stations filling the gap and becoming instrumental in promoting both Jamaican and UK Dancehall music the genre is allowed to thrive in the UK.
So who are some of the movers and shakers who have contributed to the rise in UK Dancehall?

Gappy Ranks has stepped into the producer’s seat recently releasing ‘Throw Mi Herb Riddim‘ under his label Hot Coffe Music. The well received project features Jamaican acts such as Busy Signal, Laden, Chino, from the UK Don Andre, Reddman UK and others. Turning up the heat and going hard-core, he went a step further to release ‘Wine Pon Di Edge’ a single with video reminiscent of the ‘Bruk Out’ culture of the Jamaican dances with a little ‘British’ thrown in the mix.



Stylo G with hits such as ‘Call mi a Yardie‘ has seen a successful period from collabs from Chipmunk to Gyptian. His recent release ‘Winter Swag’ with crooner Smoothface had not only the UK masses singing along, but had the tropical and every sunny Island of Jamaica singing along to a winter themed song. Stylo G continues his domination of the club goers with his crossover between Dancehall/Hiphop and Grime




Up and Coming artiste Don Andre has received positive feedback for his recent release Black, Green and Gold, a song paying homage to the Jamaican athletic team as they journey to the upcoming Olympics in the UK. The Jamaican born artiste has been making steady strides in his career since he burst onto the UK music scene. He is most known for his 2011 hit ‘Roll wi a roll’ and has already completed a number of tours with popular acts like Busy Signal and Kiprich in Africa. He has performed on shows alongside Beenie Man, Assasin and Spragga Benz, Chino McGregor and Laden. He now looks forward to his upcoming tour here in the UK in July with rising ‘Gaza’ sensation Tommy Lee. His videos have been regularly featured on popular music promoter. Krish Genius’s youtube channel and his songs receiving good rotation on mainstream and internet/pirate radio stations.

Popular Choice FM DJ and radio personality and face of Yardbacktv DJ Quincy has done his part to keep the music alive in the UK by making tracks of his own under his artiste name Yung Quincy. One of his first releases ‘Raving’ which features a music video, has been featured on a number of television stations across the UK and has gone international and is on rotation on BEtvs 106 and park. The dj/artiste has said that he believes that UK Dancehall is able to stand on its own. The dj though is no stranger to the artiste world and was one of the first persons to work with the ‘Worl Boss’ Vybz Kartel when he first came to the UK back in the 1990’s. Dubbed ‘Yung Quincy’ by Gappy Ranks, the dj is reputed to have an enviable collection of dubs from a cross section of Reggae and Dancehall Acts. Now he is in demand for his own dubs from his singles ‘Raving‘ and Hard Love‘ and other tracks released on his independent label. YardbackTv has been providing that much needed link between Jamaica and the UK, with up to date Reggae/Dancehall music from both countries.

Statement from Busy Signal - God alone controls My destiny

In this a time of reflection, I would like to thank my fans who have supported me through this difficult situation and who will continue to support me. Your messages and prayers via social networks and via members of my team are what have brought light to the darkness of my cell.
I have never admitted that I was involved in any drug deal or drug arrangement. I waived my rights to an extradition trial here in Jamaica, so that I can return to the US to face a charge of absconding bail ONLY. This incident took place ten (10) years ago before I even considered becoming an artiste.
As you can understand, this is a difficult time for me, however during my time away, my fans will not be left with a void - there are several unreleased tracks that will definitely keep you "busy" until my return. I recently released my album Reggae Music Again, which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard Reggae charts. On my recent tour of Amsterdam and Paris, we shot elements for the video to the title track of the album. It features cameos from Marcia Griffiths, Queen Ifrica and Anthony B and that will be released in a couple of weeks.
For my fans overseas, my management team has been in dialogue with promoters who have all shown their support for me and my situation and for that I thank them.

For my family, you have stood by me through thick and thin and I know you will continue to do so. In my time away, I have made the necessary arrangements with my management team to have you taken care of until my return.

Blondie ‘First lady of Klickradio’

In the male dominated field of radio one female Radio DJ stands out, her name is Blondie. Having been in the music industry now for just over 2 years now, she has already made her mark, and has proven that she is capable of doing just as good as her male counterparts and even better.
Blondie started out in Artiste Management when she worked with C-Block and Paradyme, two up and coming Dancehall acts. She soon realised that it was proving difficult to get radio time for her artistes, and it was then that she made the bold move and decided that she wanted push onto the radio scene. She has now been deejaying on her radio show Klickradio since August 2011 and said she has never looked back since. Blondie still co-manages her original two artistes C Block and Paradyme.

When asked how she feels about being female in an industry which is predominately male dominated, Blondie stated that “at times it can be challenging but strong women like a challenge, you find certain men stick around as they know you have something unique and there are certain people that you have to work twice as hard to impress.”

Blondie said her most outstanding and memorable moments working at Klickradio has been the reception she has received and getting to work with Frankie Paul. She said the team at Klickradio are like her extended family and are a group of people from all walks of life who all share the same passion for music.

Regarding her plans for the future and what she would like to achieve, she said her overall achievement within the industry would be to be able to “represent for all female dj’s and show them that it’s not unachievable and I’d like to go onto main stream radio.”

Her advice to those females who are trying to get into the industry whether as artiste, djs, PRs etc. is, “keep trying stand firm and although there will be bad days, just keep at it if they tell you there’s no space for you make space”

Soo.... Apperently Kartel is set to disband "Portmore Empire" with the following statement from Adidja Vybz Kartel Palmer

Dancehall fans worldwide, it with great regret that I, Adidja Palmer have decided to disband the Portmore Empire. These artistes have been under the Adidjahiem leadership for years, where they have honed their craft and made their mark, and as such, are well on their way to becoming major forces in Dancehall. They have reached a level where they are more capable to take on their careers by themselves, and it would be unfair to them, based on the limited resources of Adidjahiem Records, and current legal woes of the Adidjahiem C.E.O. and team members.
I wish them the best and I am confident that they will live up to my expectations. In the future, Adidjahiem will continue to bring out new acts and groom them for stardom.

"I understand what Vybz Kartel is saying. he is away and can't really push their careers the way he could have if he was out. Vybz Kartel is a man like this ... when it becomes too much for him, he will just let it go. I figure more or less that is what is happening. But still, to be one of the original members, it's good to know that the whole world was saying Gaza, something I help to build."

Bounty Killer Says Beenie Man apologised for money

Bounty Killer dismissed claims by Beenie Man that Jamaican artistes will witness an increase in overseas shows because of the recent vide footage showing remorse for his previous lyrics bashing the gay community.

Killer claims if it was him in the position that he would NEVER have apologised, he goes onto saying 

"Me can't ever put a dollar over Jamaica and its culture. If it wasn't for dancehall and its culture I don't know where or who I'd be today. Mi nuh sorry fi nothing that I said or sang, I am sorry to know it offended anybody but that's how I see it. My views and beliefs, all I can say is that homosexuals fi stop try ban we shows and dancehall must leave dem alone to God still and let peace reign,"

Bounty Killer says he believed there was no need for an apology as for the last few years no tracks released by any dancehall artiste has instructed violence on to any groups.

"What are you apologising for? You don't apologise for what you sincerely believe in. You can only regret if it offended or hurt anyone," he said.

Bounty, who recently came back from a two-and-a-half week European tour, said he's pleased with dancehall's progress overseas and that the music is still striving despite claims that it is dying fast.

"Every show mi go on went well. I don't see a reason to believe dancehall music is dying," he said.
The deejay also responded to a recent statement by Beenie that he (Bounty) performed in front of eight people, at a show in Amsterdam. This, according to Beenie Man, came after Bounty refused to perform before him.
"How eight people fi lef inna venue out of 8,000 and a Bounty Killer ago perform? Yuh nuh see say Beenie Man a live in disillusion?" Killer said.

It was reported that an grade 9 student was possessed  by a demon yesterday afternoon. 
apparently The Star was told that the the student started behaving strange about 2pm on the school compound. each time someone had tried to calm the child down she would scratch bite and make strange noises. 
apparently teachers had tried to exorcise the demon out of the child.

R&B star Usher Raymond is currently in the middle of a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, over their two young children together. Although the proceedings are supposed to be private, Hip-Hop Enquirerhas exclusive coverage, and has revealed all of the scandalous details being spilled in court.

Among the accusations are that Usher has allegedly slept with two of Tameka’s bridesmaids. Damn, that’s messed up if it’s true, but what does that have to do with a custody battle? Tameka should have brought that up in their divorce hearings.

Aretha Franklin lands Gosple Hall of Fame Honour

Music icon ARETHA FRANKLIN is to be inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

The Queen of Soul will receive the honour at a ceremony on 14 August (12) in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and will be joined by her fellow inductees including bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs, The Hoppers, singer Dallas Holm and Christian rock band Love Song.

Late TV evangelist Rex Humbard will also be honoured.

Franklin's Grammy-winning 1972 album Amazing Grace sold two million copies in the U.S. and remains one of the best-selling gospel albums of all time.

The Gospel Music Hall of Fame began in 1971 and previous inductees include Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley.

Kid Kurrup And Davina Burns Speak with The Star

Artiste Javon Rodney, more popularly known as Kid Kurrup, is denying allegations that he is being sought by the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

In an interview with THE STAR, the artiste says these allegations came about when a dispute between himself and a female artiste, 17-year-old Devina Burn, ended up on Twitter.

'My ex-girlfriend hacked my phone and started tweeting stuff about me and my artiste Devina. A popular publicist made a report to CISOCA and because of this, the police came to my house on Friday. I wasn't there but I called them and we have set up a meeting with CISOCA to speak about the allegations," Kurrup told THE STAR.

The artiste went on to say that the allegations were untrue and has tarnished his reputation.

"I am not wanted by the police. I am in conversation with the police and I know that Devina is not pushing the issue, so I don't know why it is being said that I am wanted," he said.

He further explained that he could not have been the one posting the tweets because that would be incriminating.

"A publication put out a release Monday that CISOCA is hunting for me. I called CISOCA and they told me that they did not send out any information like that, so my lawyer is looking into dealing with that publication," he said.

Kurrup was also adamant that the allegations of carnal abuse were ludicrous because he was not having sexual relations with Burn when she was underage.

THE STAR also spoke to Burn who happened to be beside Kurrup at the time.

She explained that she was under the impression that the tweets were from Kurrup but now understands that his phone was hacked.

"This was between me and Javon. I found out it was somebody who had his phone, I don't know why the person took it to Twitter," she said.

She also stated that she made a report to CISOCA because she was influenced to do so.

"I was influenced to go to CISOCA and report Kurrup and at the time I was angry and I confirmed some of the things that persons had reported to the officers. I would never have taken the matter this far if I wasn't influenced by this person," she said.

Burn adamantly denied rumours that she had been having sexual relations with Kurrup since she was 14.

"I was a sheltered child, I didn't even know Javon personally when I was that age," she said. "I'm not rushing into anything with Javon right now, we will always be friends. Everything is at a roadblock right now and everybody will see and know what happens when the time comes," she said. Efforts to contact CISOCA regarding the allegations proved futile

Kid Kurrupt Wants To Sue Jamaica Observer

Apperently Kid Kurrupt is ready to sue the Jamaica Observer after they reported that -: "Cops from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are hunting dancehall Deejay Kid Kurrupt, in relation to the sexual violation of a minor." This all started when Kid Kurrupt vented on twitter for 3 weeks straight over his "Juvi" 17 year old Davina Burn sleeping with his "Enemy". Kurrupt did a brief interview on Zipfm this afternoon where he claimed that "the police did not send that report" and that it was however "somebody that gave the report in to the Observer". However Kurrupt claims he knows who sent the report to the observer but he isn't calling any names. According to Kurrupt he will be meeting with the police tomorrow (8th May) to discuss the issue. The article went on to saying Kurrupt could face charges for "child pornography" for disclosing nude pictures "on the internet of a person under 18 years is a breach of that law." However Rumour has it Davina Burn isn't as innocent as many people think! it appears that Miss Burn is well known among the males of the music fraternity and its not just for her 'vocal talents' persons have been coming foward to reveal information about this young lady's "mic skills" and other 'bedroom activites'. LA Lewis Returns with Hopes to Get Popcaan in his Camp

Just as THE WHOLE Jamaica thought we finally got rid of L.A. Lewis he finds a way to push up him self back into everybody face. (Lord Give Us Strength). The so called "Seven Star General" has returned to the scene as a musician.

Lewis, who recently faced allegations of defacing public property with graffiti, has decided to turn his full attention to the music business as the outlandish entertainer has formed a new group dubbed, the Gaza Federation.

Currently incarcerated Dancehall superstar, Vybz Kartel continues to be recognized as the ‘Gaza Emperor’ ever since leading the Portmore Empire to prominence during its inception in 2007. The group has produced some noteworthy acts including its founder, Deva Bratt and internationally acclaimed Dancehall superstar, Popcaan.

Now, Lewis looks to replicate that success as he insists that he has taken the task upon himself to lead the ‘Gaza’ while Kartel remains behind bars as well as groom young artistes he intends to push on a greater scale.

"Mi live a Portmore and mi like wah Kartel did a do...a buss the youths but now dem a frame him so we just a continue it. Mi a run di thing because nobody nah really run it. When him come back him a di boss still, but for now me a run it," Lewis said

The group includes a slew of younger artistes as well as former Portmore Empire deejay, Doza Medicine.
However, the Seven Star General isn’t fully content with his roster as he’s set to put in a shock request for Popcaan to join his group. According to Lewis, Popcaan must join the Gaza Federation within a week or he will face consequences.

With the Reggae Rock Riddim on its way to make its debut the team is stoping at nothing to make sure it is received well from the public, although the Riddim has not yet been released, already a stir is being created around it by well known dancer Jiggy Ras with his dance "Reggae Rock"
The Riddim is set to feature artiste such as ,Jiggy Ras, Overmarz, Gappy Ranks, Shane O, Top Gunnerz and few other stars that we won't name at this time.

3 Star impresses the French Music Industry

Reggae musician 3 Star has managed to tap into the French music industry through his recent collaboration with French rapper Dahlsim.

The two recently teamed up for the song titled My Life, for which they have also done a video.

"I was in France on tour and the promoter for one of the shows said that the feedback from my performances had been going well and he introduced me to the rapper. From there, he reached out to me and told me that he wanted to do a song," said 3 Star, explaining to The STAR how the collaboration was born.

His France tour, he said, has brought his brand to a new audience that he believes really loves reggae music.

"The response that I got was phenomenal. They really responded well to my performances across France, and now that I introduced my music to that side of the world, I can start strengthening my fan base there," said 3 Star.

He recently completed his Nothing But Real Talk album that he said is chock-full of surprises for listeners.

The majority of the album contains "culture music" as its content was written while he was enlisted in the United States army.

"I do mainly reality music, culture music that promotes life. Being in the army has had a great impact on me. It has conditioned me to deliver nothing but positive music and also to carry the discipline I learnt over into music - the discipline to write, to be on time, and all that," he said.

He is also planning to release his 14-track mixtape titled Truths and Rights in the coming weeks.

12 Year Old Girl Pregnant, Mother,Stepfather and a 20 Year Old Man Charged

A mother, stepfather and a 20-year-old man have been charged with various breaches of the Sexual Offences Act and Child Care and Protection Act following the impregnation of a 12-year-old girl.

Police report that the 20-year-old, who is the pre-teen’s boyfriend, moved in to live with the girl, her mother and her stepfather. The mother reportedly supplied her daughter with contraceptives, however, the pre-teen became pregnant and the mother did not report the matter to the Police.

Investigations led the Police to the location where all three were arrested and subsequently charged.

The 20-year-old man was charged with having sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old, sexual touching and grievous sexual assault.

The mother was charged with aiding and abetting sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 years old under the Sexual Offences Act, failing to report a crime to the Children’s Registry and cruelty to a child under the Child Care and Protection Act.

Further investigations revealed that the stepfather was also molesting his stepdaughter. He was charged with grievous sexual assault and sexual touching.

The three are booked to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Mavado Signs To Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB)

The international platform for prominent Dancehall singjay, Mavado keeps growing after a major merger within hip-hop circles has made him part of another highly regarded record label.

Last summer, Mavado signed his first international record deal with DJ Khaled's We The Best Music Group and has since release reputable efforts such as Emergency with label mate, Ace Hood as well as Survivor, featuring Senegalese-American hip-hop artiste, Akon and Soulja Girl. Additionally, the Do Road singer has been touring across the United States in recent months in an effort to market himself in the country following the re-issuance of his visa last July.

Earlier this week, Cash Money Records co-founder, Birdman announced that his label has now signed We The Best Music Group under their imprint, making Mavado an affiliate of the Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) and the Cash Money umbrella.

According to Mavado's long-time manager, Julian Jones-Griffiths, he and the Gully Gaad have been aware of this deal for quite some time, even before the singjay signed with We The Best Music Group and believes that the deal will be beneficial for all parties involved.

"Khaled's deal with YMCMB has been in the pipeline for a long time, they are a family. Even his last album went through them and that huge single with Drake and Ross and Wayne, I'm On One, was through YMCMB. I was aware of the deal being negotiated before we signed with We The Best but it didn't influence our decision either way. We put our faith in Khaled and what he can bring to the table and with or without YMCMB we still believe in him," he told the Jamaica STAR.

Also, given Mavado's close relationship with Cash Money Records, Jones-Griffiths believes that more collaborations are in store between Mavado and their artistes and even hinted that the public will soon hear them.

"It's just a bonus for all of us. It does affect us in that Cash Money will also be directly pushing Mavado's project, and we will be supported by their radio promotions and marketing teams, which as you can see from the charts over the last few years, are the best in the business," he said.

"We have a great relationship with everyone at Cash Money already and we have already been recording with YMCMB acts, you soon hear them! With features, it's always a case of when the time and record is right we reach out to them and vice-versa."

For his part, Mavado insists that the merger only adds to his international status while intimating that this will affect him in a positive way given the label that they're now affiliated with YMCMB.

"It's just more strength to the ting. The whole situation with us and Khaled has a family vibe to it so the family just got bigger and more powerful! I do expect it to affect me directly but only in a positive way," he said.

The Cash Money Records label features a slew of premiere hip-hop talent who've enjoyed countless mainstream success, including Grammy-winning hip-hop megastar, Lil Wayne, Trinidadian-American hip-hop superstar, Nicki Minaj and Canadian singing/rapping sensation, Drake, with whom Mavado has performed alongside on numerous occasions.

3 Person in Custody over 12 Year Old Pregnant Girl

3 Persons are now in police custody  following the impregnation of a 12-year-old girl.

Investigators say a report was made to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse that the child was impregnated by an adult with whom she allegedly has a relationship.

It's also alleged that the child's parents knew about the relationship.

The three have been arrested on suspicion of cruelty to a child, failure to report abuse to the Office of the Children's Registry and aiding and abetting sexual intercourse with a person under 16-years-old.

They have also been charged with grievous sexual assault, sexual touching, and sexual intercourse with a person under 16-year-old.

The police say their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
