Vybz Kartel is Urging Tommy Lee to finish his beef with Bounty Killa

Vybz Kartel is urging his protégé Tommy Lee to end his beef with dancehall legend Bounty Killer.

Last week Bounty Killer ignited a heated debate in dancehall over Tommy Lee’s use of dominic lyrics and branding himself Sparta. A few days later Tommy Lee hit back hard with a diss track “Goat Head,” where he took several shots at the Alliance Next Generation head.

Sources close to Vybz Kartel who is currently behind bars, exclusively told Urban Islandz that he is against the beef.

“Despite their differences Vybz still have a lot of respect for Bounty Killer,” the source said.

“He spoke with Tommy Lee via a phone call and told him to resist from engaging in a beef with Killer. Worl’Boss genuinely feels that the beef is not good for Tommy Lee career which he should more focus on building,” the source added.

Bounty Killer Says Tommy Lee New Name Is What…
Tommy Lee has also indicated that he has no interest in a continuous beef with Bounty Killer. The source also revealed that Tommy Lee did not want to do a diss track but feels he needed to defend himself.

“The sudden attack from Bounty Killer was not necessary and Tommy Lee feel like as a younger artist him need fi defend himself,” the source.

Bounty Killer has yet to respond to Tommy lee’s diss track at least musically.

Bounty Aims to Kill Badmind Mentality in Dancehall

The legendary dancehall record label headed by the General himself, Bounty Killer, has taken it upon itself to rid the land of badminded people.  Like many other movements Alliance has led, it is executing the badmind purge through music.
Speaking out the loudest against badmind mentality and those consumed by it, is none other than Bounty Killer himself who this week flooded the music charts with the single 'Badmind Dem A Pree'.  On the no holds barred 'Badmind Dem A Pree' Bounty is assisted by dancehall-reggae singjay I-OCTANE.  Together they make it clear that badmind is the work of the devil and will not be tolerated any longer.  'Badmind Dem A Pree' is available now on iTunes and is produced by Markus A Myrie of Markus Records, who is also the son of reggae superstar Buju Banton.  (Listen to ‘Badmind Dem A Pree’ via @youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCLO6z3hAOU)

Echoing the General's feelings towards badminded people is his Alliance artiste BIG WAYNE with his own infectious single 'How Dem Badmind So'.  (Watch the 'How Dem Badmind So' video via @youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAMGRPWCTHg.  In 'How Dem Badmind So' Big Wayne sings about how Bounty Killer tells him to avoid badminded people and Cross Cris, Alliance Next Generation's manager, tells him to keep an eye out for fake friends on the horizon.  'How Dem Badmind So' features Canada's hottest dancehall artiste, the fast-rising lyrical deejay SUPREME (Spreez Music Group) and is produced by Evolution Studios SVG.

Tommy Lee Calmly Responds to Bounty Killas Harsh Statement

Bounty Killa Lashes Out on Tommy Lee

Highly regarded Dancehall legend, Bounty Killer doesn’t seem to be one to jump on the ever-growing Tommy Lee bandwagon after the Alliance leader called out the popular Gaza artiste regarding his persona and lyrical content.

Tommy Lee rose to prominence due to his unique, intimidating sound as well as him self-proclaimed ‘gothic’ type of Dancehall in which he sometimes wears masks in his music videos. However, that ‘dark’ form of Dancehall has rubbed many industry players the wrong way, including Bounty Killer, who tweeted out a link making reference to the ‘Sparta’ persona that Tommy Lee sports.

“All a who a call dem self "SPARTA" Click this Rassc**** http://sexandhistory.blogspot.com/2008/06/sparta-experiment-in-state-fostered.html … !! Tell Mi If Unu A "SPARTA" Again zeen?” Bounty Killer tweeted, showing a link that ties the ‘Sparta’ concept to homosexuality.

Bounty Killer then reportedly issued a statement, through Alliance Next Generation manager, Cross Cris, explaining his reservations against Tommy Lee and other artistes who sing similar lyrics.

“Tired a dem now yow every man know a me say youths fi run the place, but nuh come chat nuh f****y bout freak and devil or demon, ago kill off some a dem, so when a man ago sing certain things him nuh think say nobody was gonna have a problem wid him argument dem, a when since u can just come inna dancehall and a bring een demon ppl freely so? how long we have we dancehall nice and pure mad mi mad to bloodc****, some a dem too brite and no big man inna dancehall naah stand up and tell dem say dat nuh accepted, ppl mi fight fi dancehall wid mi life and say f**k career dem naah mash it up enuh!” the statement read.

To make matters more intriguing, Bounty Killer even hinted that he might be seeking a clash at STING 2012 to further outline his stance.

“Christmas is 4 Christ so nuh demon or devil cyaah win we a bloodcl*** all a dem a dead a Sting!!!” he said. “Mi nuh business who waah agree or disagree, i care zero mi naah look nuh support god blessed me enuff 4 me to put it all on the line 4 his cause any thing opposed GOD’S word mi and dem bumbocl**** God have him Killer to inna the name of Jesus i wash dem in dem own blood now!!!”

Tommy Lee recently raised eyebrows with a recent single entitled Uncle Demon, which raised speculation about the ‘Gaza’ artiste’s style. Days later, his long-time mentor, Vybz Kartel released a track mirroring that concept dubbed, Daddy Devil.

"Jamaican Men would prefer to SING than get an EDUCATION" President MUGABE

hMany Jamaicans who go overseas will tell you that they’re often confronted with the stereotypes that people from the island either smoke or drink often. Those labels apparently have been slapped on Jamaicans by one of Africa’s most revered leaders.

Robert Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe, reportedly took shots at Jamaicans at a recent university lecture dubbed the Research and Intellectual Expo 2012. According to Zimbabwean internet news and entertainment outlet, Nehanda Radio, President Mugabe branded Jamaican men as weed smokers and drunkards.

According to the report, Mugabe allegedly described Jamaica as, "a country of marijuana smokers, where women are now taking charge since men are always sloshed (drunk).”

President Mugabe, who neither smokes nor drinks alcohol, insisted that Zimbabweans should never follow in Jamaica’s footsteps while implying that the island’s culture has negatively influenced his people. This, as speculation mounts that Mugabe has diplomatic differences with Jamaica.

The report by Nehanda Radio also stated that Mugabe, who's previously traveled to the island, intimated that Jamaicans are free to smoke marijuana despite the herb being illegal in the island while also alleging that local men prefer to sing that get an education.

"In Jamaica, they have freedom to smoke mbanje, varume vanogara vakadhakwa (men are always drunk) and universities are full of women," Mugabe allegedly said.

"The men want to sing and do not go to colleges vamwe vanobva vamonwa musoro (some are dreadlocked). Let us not go there."

The report also claims that Mugabe isn’t enthused by the praise that countless Reggae and Dancehall artistes have heaped upon him in song.

Jamaicans remember Mugabe given that the island’s most decorated artiste, Bob Marley performed at an a concert on the day when Zimbabwe gained independence in April, 1980. Marley sang the aptly titled classic, Zimbabwe at the event and people from the South African country revere Marley as one of their heroes.

Internationally acclaimed Reggae artiste, Sizzla Kalonji also performed at a birthday concert for President Mugabe in 2010, drawing much controversy in the process.

"I see him as one of my fathers from Africa," Sizzla said at the time.

"He's part of my nation, the black nation. In all that he's done - whether it's good or bad - I hope and pray that it's for the betterment of the people.”

Jamaican government officials were reportedly made aware of what Mugabe stated but have yet to comment on the matter.

"Not even Kartel can stop mi seh Gaza" Popcaan

Top-flight deejay Popcaan, once believed to be one of incarcerated DJ Vybz Kartel’s loyal lieutenants, has spoken out about his Gaza status on Saturday night during his back-to-school treat at 3 West, Greater Portmore. Gaza fe life,” he said while expressing that not even Kartel can stop him from seh Gaza, confirming his stance in the Gaza movement. Rumours have been swirling recently that the relationship between Kartel and Popcaan had broken down. It was also reported recently that Kartel, while awaiting trial on multiple charges, ordered that the Portmore Empire be disbanded, and allegedly created a new group called PG-13, with new sensation Tommy Lee as a headliner. Popcaan, however, was not included. Christopher "Dudus" Coke moved from Confinement

Former west Kingston strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke has finally been moved from solitary confinement in a United States (US) prison.  After spending more than two years in solitary confinement in New York, Coke has been moved to another prison, where he is now a part of the general population.
Coke, who has been sentenced to 23 years on drug and gun racketeering charges in the US, has been transferred from the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in Manhattan, New York, to the Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield, in South Carolina.
A family member, Taneisha Kerr, told The Sunday Gleaner that Coke was moved a little over two weeks ago to the prison, which has a population of 1,700.
She said Coke called his grandmother - Joyce Madden - on the one-year anniversary of his mother Pauline Haliburton's death on August 22 and mourned.
"He said he felt it and he cried that he wasn't there to see her for the last or nothing," said Kerr.
His grandmother, Madden, an elderly but sharp-minded woman, said the call lasted for 15 minutes.
"He said he was all right and that they removed him and that he is trusting God. He also said he missed his family and Jamaica," Madden said in a slow drawl.
She added that Coke said he was happy that his days in solitary confinement have ended and that he is now among the general population.
During solitary confinement, he had contact with only prison officials.

Coke was also reportedly relieved that he now has more minutes to make calls.

According to his family, he is delighted with the 300 minutes per month which he now has as opposed to the one-time 15 minute call he could make each month while in solitary.

Kerr said that Coke now has a cellmate, who is an elderly man. He also complimented the prison facilities saying that it was clean.
She added that with the move, Coke now has access to the Internet.

Prison website

It is not clear why Coke was transferred as US officials do not comment on prison transfers. However, a search for Coke on the Edgefield's prison website revealed that he is listed as a 43-year-old black male with a release date of April 7, 2030.
His new home is a medium-security correctional facility for male inmates.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons' website, medium-security federal correctional institutes have strengthened perimeters (often double fences with electronic detection systems), mostly cell-type housing, a wide variety of work and treatment programmes, an even higher staff-to-inmate ratio than low-security prisons and even greater internal controls.
The facility is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons a division of the United States Department of Justice. The prison is located near the South Carolina-Georgia border approximately 25 miles north of Augusta Georgia.

Coke was extradited to the US in June 2010 after a protracted dispute between the then Bruce Golding-led government and the US. At the end of the dispute, the Government approved his extradition and the security forces moved to arrest him.
That resulted in a bloody battle that left at least 73 civilians and one soldier dead.
Coke was eventually captured near the St Andrew/St Catherine border and extradited after he waived his right to contest the proceeding.

Police killed a 25 year old Pregnant woman Yallahs St Thomas

The officer warned the woman that she would be arrested and charged for the indecent language and then dragged the woman to the Station. A struggle ensued between the Officer and the Woman which resulted in her falling on the ground. Gaza and Tommy Lee Needs Serious Prayer

At least one member of the Christian community has declared that he has a problem with dancehall artiste Tommy Lee's song 'Uncle Demon'. According to Wayne Clarke of the Christian Fellowship World Outreach Church, the deejay is in urgent need of some serious prayer. "I have to go and do some serious prayer for him and the church needs to pray. I have never seen a man call himself demon upfront but God did dun prophecy that these things gonna happen," Clarke said. According to Clark, the entire Gaza fraternity is being influenced by demons. "I would pray for him (Tommy Lee) because he is under some powers like Kartel. God wants Kartel too, and he should repent and turn over totally to God. Gaza is under the influence of demons. A man referring himself as demons can be a serious thing but I can't blame him still because it's prophecy fulfilling," he said. However, Tommy Lee says Uncle Demon is just a song and he was simply being different from other artistes. "It just come natural, mi listen to the rhythm and mi get that vibe. A long time mi a sey uncle demon suh mi decide fi put it in a song. The music video was influenced by Michael Jackson's Thriller. (It was) a little bit scary but a lot of work we put into it. Mi just hope the youth dem nuh tek it too far because a nuh mi a di first person fi duh dat. Maybe I am the first in dancehall but not the first in the world. The youth dem watch duppy show all time, at the end of the day mi love the people, and mi just want dem fi can defend dem country," he continued. "The people dem run wid the song because dem did hungry fi a difference, mi just hope the big people dem understand because the youth dem understand. Mi love di youth dem mi just a duh my ting," he said. Tommy Lee also said he is not a devil worshipper and mentioned that man is more dangerous to each other than spirits. "At the end of the day I am not a devil worshipper. Mi believe inna di Creator who make Heaven and Earth. Everybody have dem fault and mi nah pree violence, mi only pree self defence. At the end of the day, nobody a nuh demon, it nuh mean nothing, it just sick. Yuh neva hear sey demon kill nobody and rob nobody suh it betta mi talk bout spirit than man," Tommy Lee said.
