Popcaan Disses Chronixx??

The buzz surrounding emerging Reggae sensation,Chronixx has been overwhelmingly positive since he burst onto the music scene in 2012. However, a new single by popular deejay, Popcaanhas brought forth a hint of controversy involving the young singer.

Popcaan recently released the preview for his new single, Killa From Mi Bawn, which is allegedly diss song aimed at former Portmore Empirecolleague, Black Ryno following their much talked about confrontation atSTING last December. However, a line in the Milla 9 produced song raised some eyebrows over the weekend as the Gaza deejay says, "Chu some pu$$y hear man seh di party buck dem tink seh we party nuff, Not even Selassie or Jesus cyah save dem when di bloodcl#@t 40 buss"

The line appeared to be a counteraction to Chronixx's hit single, Odd Rasin which he sings, "Say mi nah sing no song bout di party buck, Worst mi nah show mi under pants fi buss."

The preview has garnered over 5,000 views on YouTube, with some of the comments supporting Popcaan while some criticized it. One viewer asked,"Why him diss Chronixx; a very humble and spiritual yute?"

In the meantime, Black Ryno has released a preview off a diss song aimed at Popcaan, Dead Dem Ago Dead, which is also produced by Milla 9.

Vybz Kartel is Urging Tommy Lee to finish his beef with Bounty Killa

Vybz Kartel is urging his protégé Tommy Lee to end his beef with dancehall legend Bounty Killer.

Last week Bounty Killer ignited a heated debate in dancehall over Tommy Lee’s use of dominic lyrics and branding himself Sparta. A few days later Tommy Lee hit back hard with a diss track “Goat Head,” where he took several shots at the Alliance Next Generation head.

Sources close to Vybz Kartel who is currently behind bars, exclusively told Urban Islandz that he is against the beef.

“Despite their differences Vybz still have a lot of respect for Bounty Killer,” the source said.

“He spoke with Tommy Lee via a phone call and told him to resist from engaging in a beef with Killer. Worl’Boss genuinely feels that the beef is not good for Tommy Lee career which he should more focus on building,” the source added.

Bounty Killer Says Tommy Lee New Name Is What…
Tommy Lee has also indicated that he has no interest in a continuous beef with Bounty Killer. The source also revealed that Tommy Lee did not want to do a diss track but feels he needed to defend himself.

“The sudden attack from Bounty Killer was not necessary and Tommy Lee feel like as a younger artist him need fi defend himself,” the source.

Bounty Killer has yet to respond to Tommy lee’s diss track at least musically.

Bounty Aims to Kill Badmind Mentality in Dancehall

The legendary dancehall record label headed by the General himself, Bounty Killer, has taken it upon itself to rid the land of badminded people.  Like many other movements Alliance has led, it is executing the badmind purge through music.
Speaking out the loudest against badmind mentality and those consumed by it, is none other than Bounty Killer himself who this week flooded the music charts with the single 'Badmind Dem A Pree'.  On the no holds barred 'Badmind Dem A Pree' Bounty is assisted by dancehall-reggae singjay I-OCTANE.  Together they make it clear that badmind is the work of the devil and will not be tolerated any longer.  'Badmind Dem A Pree' is available now on iTunes and is produced by Markus A Myrie of Markus Records, who is also the son of reggae superstar Buju Banton.  (Listen to ‘Badmind Dem A Pree’ via @youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCLO6z3hAOU)

Echoing the General's feelings towards badminded people is his Alliance artiste BIG WAYNE with his own infectious single 'How Dem Badmind So'.  (Watch the 'How Dem Badmind So' video via @youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAMGRPWCTHg.  In 'How Dem Badmind So' Big Wayne sings about how Bounty Killer tells him to avoid badminded people and Cross Cris, Alliance Next Generation's manager, tells him to keep an eye out for fake friends on the horizon.  'How Dem Badmind So' features Canada's hottest dancehall artiste, the fast-rising lyrical deejay SUPREME (Spreez Music Group) and is produced by Evolution Studios SVG.

Tommy Lee Calmly Responds to Bounty Killas Harsh Statement

Bounty Killa Lashes Out on Tommy Lee

Highly regarded Dancehall legend, Bounty Killer doesn’t seem to be one to jump on the ever-growing Tommy Lee bandwagon after the Alliance leader called out the popular Gaza artiste regarding his persona and lyrical content.

Tommy Lee rose to prominence due to his unique, intimidating sound as well as him self-proclaimed ‘gothic’ type of Dancehall in which he sometimes wears masks in his music videos. However, that ‘dark’ form of Dancehall has rubbed many industry players the wrong way, including Bounty Killer, who tweeted out a link making reference to the ‘Sparta’ persona that Tommy Lee sports.

“All a who a call dem self "SPARTA" Click this Rassc**** http://sexandhistory.blogspot.com/2008/06/sparta-experiment-in-state-fostered.html … !! Tell Mi If Unu A "SPARTA" Again zeen?” Bounty Killer tweeted, showing a link that ties the ‘Sparta’ concept to homosexuality.

Bounty Killer then reportedly issued a statement, through Alliance Next Generation manager, Cross Cris, explaining his reservations against Tommy Lee and other artistes who sing similar lyrics.

“Tired a dem now yow every man know a me say youths fi run the place, but nuh come chat nuh f****y bout freak and devil or demon, ago kill off some a dem, so when a man ago sing certain things him nuh think say nobody was gonna have a problem wid him argument dem, a when since u can just come inna dancehall and a bring een demon ppl freely so? how long we have we dancehall nice and pure mad mi mad to bloodc****, some a dem too brite and no big man inna dancehall naah stand up and tell dem say dat nuh accepted, ppl mi fight fi dancehall wid mi life and say f**k career dem naah mash it up enuh!” the statement read.

To make matters more intriguing, Bounty Killer even hinted that he might be seeking a clash at STING 2012 to further outline his stance.

“Christmas is 4 Christ so nuh demon or devil cyaah win we a bloodcl*** all a dem a dead a Sting!!!” he said. “Mi nuh business who waah agree or disagree, i care zero mi naah look nuh support god blessed me enuff 4 me to put it all on the line 4 his cause any thing opposed GOD’S word mi and dem bumbocl**** God have him Killer to inna the name of Jesus i wash dem in dem own blood now!!!”

Tommy Lee recently raised eyebrows with a recent single entitled Uncle Demon, which raised speculation about the ‘Gaza’ artiste’s style. Days later, his long-time mentor, Vybz Kartel released a track mirroring that concept dubbed, Daddy Devil.
